Ready to sell your Art?

Every artist has lots of questions about how to sell their art.

There are a few key paths:

Galleries (no longer the gate keepers of art sales)

Self representation (easier than ever, thanks to the internet, and you pay no commission)

A hybrid of the two (Great if you can do it, but there are fewer galleries than ever in 2026).

I focus on Self representation, because it gives artist the most freedom.

It’s not really more work. Most galleries require artists to market themselves just as much as they would without a gallery, and galleries never share their client email list. Just being in a gallery doesn’t guarantee success or sales, and galleries’ commission is usually 50% of the sale price of a work of art.

Self represented artists have complete control over what they create, how and where it is sold.

What is your biggest and most reliable way to sell your art?

Your email list. The same is true of galleries, or any other type of business- email is gold.

With a healthy, well nurtured email list you can reach hundreds (or thousands) of people who have volunteered to hear from you on a regular basis because they love your art.

Where else do you get that kind of audience?

Learn how to start, grow, nurture and sell to your email list and you will have a steady income of sales on your own terms. No “salesy” tactics, no pushing, just an authentic, warm connection between you and your fans about your art.

Do I need to be tech savvy to do it?

Nope! This is a low tech, low cost way to reach hundreds (or more) of your potential collectors.

Do I need a website?

Nope. You can start without a website by linking your emails to a product page and checkout in Square. Website are great, but they have to be created and maintained, and if you don’t use them for direct sales they are just an expensive portfolio.

Can I do this myself?

Yes! In the Simple Art Sales Workshop I explain it all. What you need, what to send and how to sell. You can do it with nothing but an email platform (like Flodesk) and Square (which you already have if you sell in-person).

I hate tech overwhelm. Do you walk me through setting up my sales system, step by step?

In the Simple Art Sales System Course cohort, we spend 6 sessions together setting up your system one step at a time, and learning how to use it. You leave the course with a system fully set up and ready to go.

What about after the course? Is there more support to help me succeed?

Yes! The Confident Artist is a monthly membership where we talk about all things art business. What to do, when to do it, how to do it and what other artists are doing to succeed. It’s an art business think-tank. It’s an option open to graduates of the Simple Art Sales System Course cohort.
